TCVC is a community of people interested in developing and deepening their meditation practice. We provide opportunities to hear and practice the teachings of vipassana (insight) and metta (lovingkindness) meditation, with an emphasis on residential retreats led by senior teachers in the Theravada Buddhist tradition.
The board is made up of volunteers who have attended at least one TCVC retreat. The board meets several times a year to review and plan the retreats. In the spring we host an Annual Meeting, typically a pot luck, where we reflect with gratitude on the past year’s retreats and thank those who make these retreats possible.
In addition to the ongoing organizational support of board members, TCVC relies on members of the community to serve as registrars and retreat managers. We’re grateful to everyone who volunteers to support all the details that come together to make our retreats a success.
TCVC has evolved throughout the years and continues to change along with the people who volunteer. We encourage anyone who would like to help organize the retreats and support the organization in other ways to attend our meetings and also to join the board.
