Registration for Summer 2026 Retreat Opens April 1

The TCVC Summer 2026 Retreat will be held June 7 – 14, 2026.  The retreat will be led by Deborah Helzer and we welcome Wynn Fricke as co-teacher.  Due to family needs, Vance Pryor is unable to join us.

We look forward to the warmer weather and another peaceful week at Koronis Ministries near Paynesville, Minnesota. All rooms are single occupancy, including single rooms with private bathrooms ($900) and single rooms with shared bathrooms ($590). Scholarships are available for up to $400 of the retreat fee.

TCVC is committed to supporting everyone in developing and deepening their meditation practice. In that spirit, ten places in this retreat have been reserved for members of the Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) community. If you would like one of the reserved places, you can check the BIPOC box on the online registration form. If you’re mailing in the paper form, please indicate somewhere on the form that you’re requesting a BIPOC place. If there are any reserved places not spoken for by May 1, the remaining places will be made available to all.

You can register for the retreat online starting April 1 or by paper form in our upcoming newsletter.  Please email the registrar with any questions at retreats@tcvc.org.

Metta and Peace to Steve Armstrong

TCVC remembers Steve Armstrong with gratitude.  Steve passed away at the end of 2025.  For more than 25 years, Steve and Kamala Masters led TCVC’s summer retreats with their deep knowledge and wise practice.  The community of TCVC sends appreciation and love to Steve’s family and loved ones.  You can listen to some of Steve’s talks on Dharma Seed.

All conditioned things arise and pass away. Understanding this truth deeply brings the highest happiness, which is peace.

Reflections on the Recent Winter Retreat

The winter retreat was a wonderful opportunity to deepen our connections to our human life in the peaceful quiet of a Minnesota winter.  Longtime teachers Rebecca Bradshaw and Chas DiCapua shared their many years of practice in leading our sangha, guiding reflections on heart-mind embeddedness in the world around us.
